Mass Effect: Andromeda is offering both gated access to the single player and unrestricted access to the multiplayer for the upcoming EA Access. The EA/Origin Access trial for Andromeda will become available on March 16 for Xbox One and PC. No version of EA Access is available on PlayStation 4. The game is set to come out on March 21.

This comes after news of the cancelled beta test for the multiplayer.
In addition to this bit of news, Fernado also revealed information about how some multiplayer missions can link with the singleplayer which can award loot boxes (RNG) in addition to sending AI in your place to complete these linked missions. The short of it is if you complete multiplayer it can aid singleplayer.
On the 5th day of MP-mas, the MP dev team gave to you: a new feature in MEA - Missions. Your link between MP/SP. Play & get rewards in both. pic.twitter.com/rBRWxNRHjZ

The final bit of news is how the multiplayer is set to be like Mass Effect 3 when it comes to content and maps, offering free maps to all, removing all fears of paywalls for the multiplayer.
