Stardew Valley Update 1.1 - The One Man Dev Does It Again
Posted By: GamerDating - October 04, 2016
Stardew Valley is an open ended country life RPG. It involves you, a city character come to the countryside to build up a farm. It features energy management, weather, seasons, relationships and is much more exciting than I've made it sound.
You’ve inherited your grandfather’s old farm plot in Stardew Valley. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life. Can you learn to live off the land and turn these overgrown fields into a thriving home? It won’t be easy. Ever since Joja Corporation came to town, the old ways of life have all but disappeared. The community center, once the town’s most vibrant hub of activity, now lies in shambles. But the valley seems full of opportunity. With a little dedication, you might just be the one to restore Stardew Valley to greatness!
The single lone developer is ConcernedApe (Eric Barone), who released the game out in Feburary and has continued to bring updates. And even when burned out and slipping behind under the mammoth of updates, Eric has dropped another awesome update.
Update 1.1
The update introduces 5 new maps, giving you the choice where to start your farm when you load the game:
- Standard Farm – The original Stardew Valley farm.
- Riverland Farm – Lots of water, good for fishing.
- Forest Farm – Foraging opportunities and a unique weed that always drops mixed seeds.
- Hill-top Farm – Has a small mineral deposit from which ores spawn, including a unique geode-bearing ore.
- Wilderness Farm – Monsters spawn at night.
Characters can marry and spouses now act unique to one another when outside.
New teleport stones help you get around the map, new building options, moving constructions and wallpaper. A bunch of new items and quests and balance changes, you can read the full list here, or better yet check out the video below:
